Yesterday in the early morning hours, a surprise operation was carried out by a group of the Transit Commission of Ecuador (CTE for its Spanish acronym), endowed with nocturnal photo-radars, installed on the Francisco de Orellana avenue.
The photo-radars took snapshots of the passing cars traveling 76 km per hour, for the officers to later notify drivers the sanction of $ 87.60 and 6 points less on the driver’s license, for exceeding the speed moderate range.
Lieutenant of the CTE, Veronica Franco, said that in the four hours of the operative, 81 people were punished.
The total money raised on the first day of radar operatives, alone in the Francisco de Orellana avenue was $ 7,095. (MZ)
