Until noon yesterday, the platform that presents the offers of the Cybermonday, and that houses 31 participating companies, exceeded 147,000 visits.
Germán Lynch, director of Business Development of the Chamber of Commerce of Guayaquil that organizes the event, said that expectations were met. “We hope that at the close of 00:00 it will have surpassed 200,000 visits and then turn into purchases,” he said.
Lynch said that electronic commerce registers an exponential growth that began in 2012 with this type of online offers. Ecuadorians living in the United States, Spain and the rest of the world also take advantage of the discounts and make purchases for their relatives in Ecuador.
For example, in the last Cybermonday, held on August 21 and 22 of this year, 180,128 visits were received. 2.02% was from the USA, 1.76% from Spain, followed by Chile with 0.23%. (I)
