Director Tony Scott Suicides After Jumping From a Bridge

Anthony David “Tony” Scott, 68, the director of 1980’s action hits like “Top Gun” and “Days of Thunder,” died on Sunday after jumping from a bridge in Los Angeles County.
The British director death is being investigated as a suicide, according to witnesses, Scott jumped with a moment of hesitation from the Vincent Thomas Bridge, between San Pedro and Terminal Island in Los Angeles Harbor. So far the police have found two notes, one in his car, which was parked nearby, and another in his office.
Simon Halls, Scott’s spokesman stated, “In this difficult time, it is to be expected that Scott’s family does not want reporters asking questions, I can confirm that Tony Scott has passed away. The family asks their privacy is respected at this time.”
The content of the notes remain unclear and everybody wants to know what drove the director to commit suicide. (AV)
