The Serbian, Novak Djokovic, is the number one of World tennis. Yesterday he conquered the Masters 1000 of Montreal after defeating the American Mardy Fish in the final match with a set of 6-2, 3-6 and 6-4. This is the most notable winning streak of Djokovic in his tenth Masters 1000, which amplifies his advantage against the Spaniard Rafael Nadal.

The 24-year-old Serbian became the world one tennis player in the history after obtaining five titles in tournaments of Masters Category in just one year. Meanwhile Serena Williams won the Toronto tournament after defeating the Australian Samantha Stosur.

Williams has been out of the game for a whole year since the Wimbledon tournament of 2010. The player had to recover from a feet injury and afterwards a pulmonary embolism. (AV)
