Dutch Bank ABN Refuses to Forgive off loan Greece
Posted On 18 Apr 2012
This morning, Dutch public broadcaster NOS, announced that Dutch Bank ABN AMRO refuses to forgive 880 million Euros they had given to Greece to carry out works in the Athens metro.
According to NOS, the Bank made the announcement after failing to reach an agreement with representatives of the Greek Ministry of Finance at a meeting held in London.
The €880 million as part of a loan of €1,300 million the bank made the Hellenic Railway public company for investments in the underground Hellenic capital. After the failure of talks between the parties, the matter may now have to be resolved by legal means.
