Ecuador begins third phase of the Manuela Espejo Mission
Today, on the International Day of people with special abilities, the third phase of the project Manuela Espejo Solidarity Mission, which provides a benefit to nearly 65,000 people, of which 294,611 were studied, diagnosed and georeferenced, begins.
This was announced by Vice President Lenin Moreno, who called this stage “Reinforces Plan“. “This seems like a dream, today we completed the second stage of Manuela Espejo, a happy dream is that people with disabilities and their families take the streets to say I have the right to equate my chances and be happy,” he said.
Lenin Moreno, said that despite leaving the vice presidency, he will remain being part of the social program, “There is still much to be done and we will build together, this mission continues until the end, until all their rights are guaranteed,” said.
In Ecuador there are 163 special education institutions, who receive 10,035 students with disabilities. Furthermore, according to the Ministry of Education, 10,740 children have been inserted in 4690 called regular campuses. And 1794, to 655 centers to learn different skills. (MZ)
