Ecuador Commercializes $208 Through Internet
According to ILCE (Latin American Institute of Electronic Commerce), Ecuador commercializes some $208 millions trough Internet sales. Ecuador is now participating in the e-Commerce day conferences, an activity that is performed in seven countries and seeks to promote the Internet commerce in several regions.
This Wednesday Ecuador will participate for the first in the e-Commerce day conference that will be performed in the Hilton Colon Hotel of Guayaquil. The event will have several professionals like Felipe Villa, General Manager of Falabella.com (Colombia), Carolina Correo representative of Visa Inc. and Marcelo Cabane of IBM both are from United States. The conference will begin at 08:00 in the Isabella saloon; it will start with a fair about the electronic commerce, the online bank support, and entrepreneur Internet businesses.
The information provided by ILCE revealed that the Internet sales have increased by a 40% annually; this is equivalent to $35 thousand millions. Over 190 million of people are Internet users and in the last 4 months a 30% of them has made an online purchase. (AV)
