Ecuador today highlighted the defense of multilateralism to guarantee peace and security in the world, at a ministerial meeting of the Movement of Non-Aligned Countries (NAM), within the framework of the UN General Assembly, the Foreign Ministry of the Andean country reported today.
Ecuadorian Foreign Minister José Valencia underlined the need to strengthen the South-integration mechanisms and the construction of the multipolar global order.
Him, also Minister responsible for Human Mobility, referred to the development of the binding instrument on transnational corporations and human rights, and advocated to promote a multilateral agreement to ensure fiscal justice in order to advance in the construction of a transparent system.
The Ecuadorian proposal in the forum of the Non-Aligned, included the joint work for the satisfaction of the basic social needs and the attainment of a dignified quality of life in all its cycles and to overcome the alarming levels of inequality.
He concluded his speech with a call for international cooperation on human mobility, to achieve greater coordination, communication and interaction between states and ensure the effective defense of human rights. (I)
