Citizens using the Electronic Voting Method

The Alianza Pais Party valued its electoral strength in two parish councils, La Esmeralda (Los Rios) and Panguintza (Zamora Chinchipe), with a new voting system and another seat allocation method.

In these processes, the voting system known as electronic voting was inaugurated. This approach was welcomed by a group of citizens, who pointed out the speed to get the results.

However, the system was criticized by opposition politicians and some citizens who did not trust this new voting method.

Comments indicating that a possible electoral fraud could take place, were heard. (MZ)
