Ecuador Seeks Agreement with Spain over Health Services to Migrants

Ecuadorian migrants in Spain could lose free access to health care
The Ecuadorian government is preparing an agreement draft for the Spanish government of Mariano Rajoy, to ensure health benefits for Ecuadorian migrants living in Spain.
Tomorrow in Spain, a law to take away free health care to undocumented migrants will come into force.
The law comes as an emerging resource to ensure the national health system in Spain. One of these regulations consists in the non-renewal of illegal migrants’ health cards.
The draft prepared by the Ecuadorian government is going to use, as a strong argument, the situation of Spanish citizens living in Ecuador since they also have free access to government health services administered by the Ministry of Public Health. MZ
