Ecuador triumphs in Cross Country Rally

TheEcuadorian pilot Sebastián Guayasamín was crowned champion of the Cross CountryRally 2018, which ended last Sunday in San José del Guavire, in Colombia.
Guayasamín along with his co-driver Santiago Moreno added 76 points, out of 80 possible, aboard a pick-up.
The strategy of the Chevrolet team, in the last day that had a distance of 450 kilometers, was conservative so as not to put in risk the title that had it insured. He maintained the distance of 12 points on his immediate pursuer.
“We are happy to have won the Colombian rally in our first year with Chevrolet. It was hard for the level of the drivers we faced, but we did very good presentations in the four races, “said Guayasamín.
Theepicenter of the test was San José del Guavire, where the national team startedwith a first place in the prologue, and then, in the Colombian jungle, stayedon top. (I)
