Ecuadorians prefer Miami at the time of traveling
During 2013, the U.S. was the country that received more Ecuadorian visitors according to figures from the Ministry of Tourism. It was estimated a total of 395.075 visitors.
The president of the Chamber of Tourism of Pichincha, Raul Garcia says that for the Ecuadorians is attractive and practically a dream to travel to the American country, because they can visit places like Disney and purchase economic products.
Miami, with 130.666, was the most visited city, while New York with 25,959 and Orlando with 12,364 are placed second and third respectively as travel options for Ecuadorians, according to the National Institute of Statistics and Census (INEC.)
The facilities available for traveling to the U.S. and ticket prices would be the factors that influence the Ecuadorian tourists most when choosing this destination, Garcia mentioned.
Meanwhile, the U.S. Embassy reported that in 2013 in Quito and Guayaquil over 118,000 visas for tourism, study, business, commerce and family reunification were issued.
