Ecuafutbol decides the sharing amount for TV rights

Luis Chiriboga, President of the Ecuador Football Federation
Yesterday, the amounts for TV rights were made public, what every sporting club will receive (from this year will be handled by officials of Ecuafutbol).
For the 2013 championship, the Ecuadorian soccer federation (FEF for its Spanish acronym) negotiated with TV companies, TC Television and Gamatv, the sale of rights for $16’600 .000. Now Ecuavisa also have the broadcast rights of the soccer championship. The only team that was against the resolution was Liga de Quito, which demands respect for their right to negotiate on their own with Teleamazonas TV Network .
Although it is not known how Ecuafutbol based its studies to determinate the division of the amounts, a source said the presidents of the delegates knew, before Congress, how much would correspond to each club. According to the FEF, this happened because it was stolen a folder that contains information related to the distribution of money to the 24 soccer teams of the Series A and B and the 21 provincial associations.
