Both Ecuadorians teams were eliminated on the second round of  Copa Sudamericana.

Club Sport Emelec was defeated by Universidad de Chile by 0-1 at the Capwell stadium in Guayaquil.

The blue team received their former coach team with a relative advantage, as they had tied (2-2) in Santiago, but could not nailed the opportunities  to score during the first half of the match that defined the series.

Now the  Chilean are getting prepared to defend the title, reached in 2011 against Sao Paulo from Brazil.

Tigre added 4-2 on the general scoreboard, after losing 2-0 in Quito in the first round. Its next rival will be Cerro Porteno of Paraguay.
