Emelec tied with Liga in the Casa Blanca Stadium

With a goal of Fernando Gaibor, the blue team scored as visitor thus affecting more the crisis of Liga, keeping itself between the last places, and who had the advantage at first  and that it had already with a goal of the argentinean Canuto.

Emelec played a good game in a stadium without public, because of a suspension, played at noon on Wednesday, in a match delayed three weeks because of Emelec’s participation in Copa Sudamericana.

Emelec holds second place with 22 points, two points behind Catolica and followed by El Nacional with 20, a team that will face next Sunday in Quito on the date 12.

The blue team dedicated the game team to the memory of Carlos Alberto Raffo, known as “El Flaco”, who died hours earlier, at 87 years of age. Raffo was born in Argentina and nationalized in Ecuador, where he played for Emelec and the National team in the 60’s. Then he decided to stay and live in Ecuador after his retirement.
