The alleged meeting, according to the official account of the state of Kailasa, took place within the framework of the environmental summit at the beginning of March 2024.

Following the release of the image, the Environment, Water and Ecological Transition Portfolio (MAATE) stated in a statement that Minister Fritschi’s official agenda in Nairobi ” never included a meeting with alleged leaders of the United States of Kailasa, a nation that It does not have official recognition.”

What really happened, according to the Ministry of the Environment, was that during one of the sessions and spaces of the environmental meeting, the leaders of this self-proclaimed nation approached Fritshi to greet her.

Given this, “in compliance with the basic values ​​of respect, cordiality and education, they were attended to. The photograph circulating on social networks shows this.”

In Kenya, the Ministry adds, the official’s participation was aimed at ratifying Ecuador’s commitment “with respect to various environmental problems, such as climate change, air pollution, desertification and plastic pollution in the oceans.”
