Posted On 14 Jul 2013

The European country tied 0-0 with Uruguay in the final and won the title in the penalty shootouts 4-1.
Uruguay, twice world champion at senior level, was again at the gates of glory in the U-20 tournament, reliving what happened in Malaysia, when they lost the final against Argentina coached by Jose Pekerman.
The French victory is the seventh title for Europe in this competition and the first in fourteen years since Spain won in Nigeria 1999. South America, with six cups from Argentina and five from Brazil, continues to lead the record, with eleven.
