Funeral of Mandela will be on December 15
The ceremony of the State funeral for the former South African President Nelson Mandela will be on Sunday December 15 in Qunu (Southeast), place where he spent his childhood.
The South African President, Jacob Zuma, said in a press conference that prior to the funeral, on December 10, will be held at the FNB Stadium (formerly known as Soccer City where he made his last appearance during the closing ceremony of the World Cup on July 11, 2010) Soweto (Johannesburg) the official mass for the former President, whose remains will rest between the 11 and 13 of December at the Union Buildings in Pretoria, headquarters of the South African Government.
In addition, President Zuma declared Sunday June 8, “as a national day of prayer and reflection”, and has called the South Africans of all faiths to go to their temples and pray and reflect on the life of Mandela.
