Groups will try to enter the place where the slaughter of the taromenane occurred
It is planned that from today be carried out meetings between leaders of the huaorani and authorities to decide various actions, including trying to enter the site where the past 29 of March occurred an attack, not yet officially confirmed, by the huaorani group against the taromenanes, that left more than 30 indigenous dead as a result.
Cawetipe Yeti, President of the huaorani nationality, would not disclose the data, however, indicated that at least, they already know the coordinates of the site of the killing, which would be located in the area of the oil block number 16.
Yeti said will talk once more to the Warriors of the Yarentaro community, to ask them to serve them as guides in order to be able to reach the site where the attack occurred. “We are thinking we can get to the site (…) However, have not had any dialogue with officials from the Government, or of the Prosecutor’s Office”, said Yeti.
Moreover, the Prosecutor of Orellana said that they are still waiting to meet meet with government officials, in order to decide on the possibility of assembling a plan of action.
The Ministry of Justice informed through its account on Twitter, that he had planned for last Saturday to perform a patrol through the area of the attack, but that adverse geographical conditions postponed it until today, in order to search the area and the victims of the alleged attack.
