Guayaquil festivities started with ringing bells and parades

Today started Guayaquil festivities with the seven ringing bells of the old public clock, located at the Moorish Tower in the Malecón Simon Bolivar, after remain in silent for a century.
The event was attended by the mayor Jaime Nebot, who reiterated the ringing of the bells every hour as part of the campaign for the recovery of the ancestral customs in Guayaquil.
Besides this, there are the several civic proclamations and parades of hundreds of students from different educational institutions of the port city.
