Gustavo Costas mantains his opinion against Conmebol

Gustavo Costas, technical director of Barcelona Sporting Club, maintains his opinion that they were harmed by the referees in the Libertadores cup after achieving  its only victory in the group stage before Nacional de Montevideo, with a goal from Gonzalo Castillejos and an unconventional alignment.

According to the Argentine coach “he don’t consider the elimination a necessary evil. I would love to continue in the Libertadores because I love to fight for a cup, the championship; fight whatever we have to. Barcelona is a great team and should play on all fronts in the same way, who we threw out of the Cup, unfortunately the referees were responsible,”he said.

Costas said that in the last minutes of the match the Uruguayans  launched their attack and came close to match the game because his players gave spaces, but this made the goalkeeper Damian Lanza the figure of the yellow team.

The canaries now practice to play in Quito against El Nacional on Sunday, in the local tournament, where the creole team is not doing well and will seek to take the revenge against Barcelona.
