Gustavo Costas regrets the draw against Toluca

Despite the tie achieved against Mexican club Toluca, for Libertadores Cup, the coach of Barcelona of Guayaquil, Gustavo Costas, was upset by the outcome.

“It’s a little bitter, beyond that point still leaves us in the race. In the first half they generated situations, and we knew how to take our advantage and we reached the goal, in the second half comes the tie at the time of the coldest part of the game, we got along well, so we  had the ball most of the time, the game was almost asleep, so we have the bitter taste. ”

The Argentinean coach continues to question the opportunities that weren’t taken  that could led to win the game, that ultimately became complicated by the tie.

“We got the goal and I think in the second half we had two or three clear chances to finish the game, we could not do it, and  the draw came when on the best moment for us,” he added.

However, the strategist of the ecuadorian team, knows he still have a chance to fight for a spot in the second round of the Libertadores Cup because of The conditions of The Group.

Costas knows he has 6 points to play at home and three  as a visitor, the first 3 again against Toluca, then search a good score at the Bombonera (Buenos Aires) and finally, ‘risk their lives’ to close the series against Uruguay’s Nacional on the last date of classification.
