Heavy Fire in the Pasochoa

Heavy fire in the Pasochoa protected forest.
In the southern part of the protected forest of Pasochoa, 50 kilometers away from Quito, a strong fire erupted since last Saturday night.
According to the Fire Department so far 40 hectares of the primary forest have burned down.
The fire is controlled until strong winds reactivate it again.
29 firefighters, most of them form the eight counties in the Guayas and Tungurahua provinces, are fighting the flames. (MZ)
