How to recognize the two dollar currencies circulating in Ecuador
Ecuadornews:

The Central Bank recalled that gold and silver coins circulate in Ecuador with the equivalent of 1 dollar. The silver coin is quite similar to that of 25 cents, so the agency explains the different characteristics to avoid confusion.
Although the silver coin of a dollar is similar to the one of 25 cents, it differs by some characteristics, like its outline of eleven sides in the design and its weight of 8.1 grams. Although it circulates since 2012, there is a new consignment of silver coins that arrived in the country, so it alerts the public.

On the obverse of the one-dollar silver coin is the profile of Susan B. Anthony, protagonist of the struggles for women’s equality. In addition, his image was the first of a woman minted in a currency in the United States. On the back there is an eagle holding an olive branch. The US Mint issued it in 1979 as a replacement for the Eisenhower dollar.
