Hugo Chavez would postoperatively to enter new treatment

Yesterday the Vice President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, said that President Hugo Chavez, who is in Cuba recovering from surgery, is out of post operation stage and “will enter a new phase of treatment that is being evaluated” after overcoming a ‘difficult’ stage.

“The president is aware and is stabilized in its faculties, the recovery of its organs in all its strength … We will have the president here with us sooner than later,” Maduro said in an interview with journalist Jose Vicente Rangel of Televén private channel.

The Venezuelan Vice President added that the leader is currently “focused on his treatment, attending the physicians’ orders with discipline.” Chávez remains hospitalized in Cuba after undergoing surgery on 11 December 2012.
