Humala Suspended Peruvian Legislator of her Post
Posted On 03 Aug 2011
After continually interrupting the speech of president Ollanta Humala, the Peruvian congresswoman Martha Chavez was suspended for 120 days without payment. Chavez called Humala such as “usurper,” she also told him “You do not respect the Constitution.”
The insistence of Chavez caused some uncomfortable moments to the dozen of South American presidents invited to the ceremony. Humala swore his presidential charge on July 28 with the constitution of 1979. In a private meeting last Tuesday night, the Congress voted on a four-month suspension for Chavez. (AV)
