Hurricane Isaac approaches
The Tropical Storm Isaac became a Hurricane as it approaches the coast of Louisiana with winds of at least 75 mph. Forecasters are concerned about that the slow-moving storm will dump a lot of rain.
Hurricane Isaac is gaining strength as it moves towards Louisiana while it swirls in the Gulf of Mexico. According to the National Hurricane Center, the storm is expected to make landfall southwest of New Orleans sometime Tuesday evening or overnight.
Forecasters are concerned that the hurricane could last for 36-hours with strong rains, 20 feet rain and strong winds of up to 90 mph. AV
