Japan Seeks to Promote its Tourism
In wild attempt to restart the tourism back to a country plagued with radiation fears and earthquake sequels The Japan Tourism Agengy’s proposed a campaign of 10,000 free roundtrip tickets.
As a condition the travelers must publicize their trip on blogs and social media sites. This measure was made after the number of foreign visitors dropped considerably after the catastrophic earthquake and tsunami were 20,000 people died and caused a nuclear disaster at the Fukushima Daichi Power plant on last march.
The tourism agency informed that it plans to open a website to solicit applicants interested in the free tickets. Would- be visitors will have to detail in writing their journey into Japan. According to Kazuyoshi Sato, if lawmakers approve the funding, visitors could begin signing up as early as next April. (AV)
