Ecuadorian weightlifter, Jorge David Arroyo
The Ecuadorian weightlifter, Jorge David Arroyo, participated in the Series B of Weights in London 2012 and placed second with a total score of 385 kg.
Arroyo won the snatch with an amazing weight of 185 kg, well above its competitors.
In the Clean and Jerk he began with a weight of 200 kg on the first attempt, but unfortunately in his other two attempts failed to lift a higher weight.
The round was won by Arturs Plesnieks from Latvia who got a 175 kg snatch, a 215 kg clean and jerk, thus winning the Ecuadorian, with 5 kg of difference in the total score. (MZ)
