Juana Vallejo will be the new governor of Guayas

Juana Vallejo returns to the government of Guayas, replacing José Francisco Cevallos. She held the position in 1988, in the government of former president Rodrigo Borja, of the Democratic Left.
Vallejo arrived in Guayaquil from Quito on the night of August 29, 2018. At the airport José Joaquín de Olmedo she confirmed her appointment by the government of President Lenín Moreno Garcés.
So, it happens for Cevallos, who was in office since May 2017. “Today I had the honor of being in the Presidency of the Republic, talking with the President, accepting his appointment as Governor.” I think it is a clear example of the dispartitization of the exercise of government, “she said.

Years later, between 2003 and 2007, she won a seat in the Andean Parliament with the Social Christian Party. And in 2007 she was a candidate for the Constituent Assembly for the National Concertación movement, but she did not win the seat.
