Ecuadornews:

The ex-adviser and former vice-president of the Constitutional Court, Pamela M., had ties at all levels. President Lenin Moreno demands a full investigation.

The Comptroller announced two audits to verify the complaints. Laura T. had an exhaustive agenda of the life of her boss Pamela M. She had been doing it since she was an adviser to former President Rafael Correa and then to the Constitutional Court, the highest court of justice in the country.

He wrote down everything: his appointments with the seamstress, his travels, his payments, his commitments … On April 3, 2013, Laura T. informed him in a mail about the news to Pamela M. In the first paragraph she tells him that businessman and supposed contributor to the PAIS Alliance campaign, Pedro Verduga, wants to comment on “many things”.

In the second he warned that Francisco Boloña informed him that the Constitutional Court room was formed with the then judges Wendy Molina, Manuel Viteri and Patricio Pazmiño.

Further down, he said that Patricio Pazmiño “insists on the position for the brother in the Ministry of Education, even though every time he calls he is told that you will consult in an office with SP (the initials given to Mr. President, according to the own Pamela M.) “.

Today, Pazmiño is the Ecuadorian representative before the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. He left the presidency of the Constitutional Court to hold this position until 2021. In an email sent to this newspaper, the continental magistrate said he knows the case Arroz Verde for its media repercussions.

“As it is a public event, I know what has been disseminated in the media regarding the inquiry you are referring to; however, from San José (Costa Rica) it is impossible for me to know details of the case, much less the existence of the mail “. “What is under my knowledge and I can confirm is that none of my brothers or sisters have worked in the Ministry of Education of the country,” he wrote.

The emails of Laura T. are investigated by the Prosecutor’s Office because politicians appear who, coincidentally, are also part of the Odebrecht corruption scandal. Two of them are: former Vice President Jorge Glas, and former Minister Walter Solis, currently a fugitive. Since 2011, their names are highlighted along with those of companies that had contracts with the Executive.

At that time, Glas was the Minister of Strategic Sectors, while Walter Solis, was the right hand of Maria de los Angeles D. in the Ministry of Transport. María de los Ángeles D. did not respond to this newspaper’s requests to speak. While Eduardo Franco Loor, lawyer of Jorge Glas, denied weeks ago that his client had relation with the illegal reception of those contributions for the campaigns.

In the emails of Arroz Verde, the name of the Telconet principal, Tomislav Topic, is repeated. He is also signaled in the Odebrecht case and is being investigated for alleged washing. Topic appears on the alleged list of contributors and in emails exchanged with Pamela M.

The messages speak of the release of Jimmy Salazar’s book, husband of the former consultant and the possession of the board of the Bar Association. The relationship between the two is based on a friendship between Pamela M. and Topic’s ex-wife.

Topic said in the prosecution that the link was his ex-partner and denied that he had given money for the campaigns that led Correa and Alianza PAIS to the top of power. (I) —————————- The President demands a “deep investigation” They are two different cases, but apparently the same was used system to raise money for the campaign of 2017.

The President of the Republic, Lenin Moreno, demanded a “deep investigation to the pertinent instances. A single publication of the press is not enough to establish the truth, but the truth should shine. ” He stressed that if that system was used, he did not know or authorize it, but he asked the people named to help justice.

One of them was the Pichincha expression, Gustavo Baroja. He went to the Comptroller’s Office on Wednesday, June 5, to demand an audit of the handling of the 2017 campaign.

Baroja denied that money was used from public institutions or contributions prohibited by law. From Guayaquil, the comptroller (e) Pablo Celi said that two audits are already running to verify the complaints. The first one refers to Alianza PAIS funds.

While the second focuses on the Electoral Council, to determine the efficiency of the control of resources both of AP, and of the other organizations. Celi added that these exams are applied to a period of 7 years, that is to say from 2012 to the date. (I)
