Justice is demanded after saying goodbye to the children killed in fire

With sadness and indignation neighbors and family members bid farewell to the five children who died in the fire registered yesterday in La Floresta, South of Guayaquil and called for legal action by the crime framed in gender-based violence against, apparently the perpetrator Gabriel Murillo, partner of the mother of the children, Karen Flores, who could not bury their young children, as she still stands between life and death in the IESS hospital.

About 500 residents of the sector where the fire occurred, gathered at the Church San Eduardo, where a burning chapel was installed for Melanie, María Clara, Dylan, Geovanna and Derek.

Those attending the funeral called for Justice and the maximum penalty against the partner of Karen Flores, Gabriel Murillo, who assaulted her and then caused a fire in the home of the woman and her children, according to versions of neighbors.

“It is regrettable for  this type of misfortune to happen, but it is time that authorities put an end to this violence with a firm hand  and sentence to life imprisonment  the murderer of these little angels”, said Mary Marcillo, inhabitant of the sector.
