In order to outline strategies to prevent eventual deportation or extradition of their client, Ecuadorian lawyers of the former Assemblyman Galo Lara, Juan Granja and Pedro Vizueta  traveled to Panama yesterday afternoon.

Both members are being presented today at the hearing which Panama authorities plan to install by Lara’s detention.

The lawyers will also attend the Office of Attention to Refugees to discuss the processing of refuge in favor of Lara, requested weeks ago.

While in Ecuador, the Attorney General, Galo Chiriboga and the Police Commander Rodrigo Suarez wait for a response from the Panamanian government regarding whether Lara plays host to deportation or extradition.

Chiriboga indicated that the Panamanian prosecution yesterday informed him the realization of the hearing, in which the legality of the detention of Lara will be reviewed.
