Lawyer of Antonio De La Rua Denies Rumors of Demand

This morning, the legal representative of Antonio De la Rua, former boyfriend of singer Shakira, denied that his client has sued the artist for $ 250 million.

In a statement, Alberto Petracchi, De La Rua’s lawyer, affirms the news about a lawsuit against the singer are “inaccurate media reports” and said that “Shakira Isabel Mebarak and Antonio de la Rua, have terminated their commercial society that united them for several years.”

“This is only the dissolution of a partnership that linked professional and commercially for 12 years,” said Petracchi.

Shakira said in January 2011 that she and her ex boyfriend were still “partners, developing projects together, working hand in hand and in constant communication.”
