Lawyers Advise Prince William To Sign a Prenuptial Agreement

James Stewart, Prince William’s attorney, has advised him to sign a prenuptial agreement before marrying his girlfriend Kate Middleton, on April 29th.

William is the heir of the Queen, whose fortune was recently estimated in 290 million pounds (467 million dollars) by the Sunday Times in 2010, he also is the heir of some of Diana’s fortune–nearly $ 34 million–. Middleton comes from a wealthy family, so any prenuptial agreement would have to ensure she can maintain her standard of living after a possible divorce.

Raymond Tooth, London divorce lawyer, does not believe that William and Kate will sign an agreement because they have a long time relationship that will not end overnight.
