With a speech on freedoms, President Lenin Moreno received Wednesday afternoon the directors of various media of the country at the Carondelet Palace.
After a decade of the absence of dialogue of the independent press with the government, Moreno asked the representatives of the media to be the first to denounce corruption in Ecuador. He assured that his Government would bet for the transparency through journalism.
The media executives talked with Moreno about their concerns regarding Ecuador’s economy and the Communication Law.
The meeting was also attended by General Secretary of the Presidency Eduardo Mangas, Minister of Finance Carlos de la Torre, and presidential adviser Andres Michelena. (I)
