Luis Miguel Will Open The Festival of Viña del Mar

The beginning of the 53rd Song Festival of Viña del Mar is near. As every year, this event will be held at the Quinta Vergara, an outdoor amphitheater with a capacity above 15,000, on the Pacific Ocean, 120 kilometers northwest of Santiago (Chile).

Mexican singer Luis Miguel will open the festival on Wednesday February 22, fans sold out the tickets within hours.

Juan Luis Guerra, Diego Torres, Marc Anthony and Los Bunkers will also perform at the festival. The Mexican duo Camila will also sing pop ballads and Dominican-American Prince Royce will close the penultimate day of the festival.

British composer Morrisey will be perform at the third of the six days of the event, while local comedian Bombo Fica and Juan Luis Guerra will close the festival on Monday February 27 .

The Viña del Mar Festival 2012 will be hosted by Rafael Araneda (Chilean) and Eva Gomez (Spanish) and will be broadcasted live on television to 20 countries in America and Europe.
