Mae Montaño disaffiliates from CREO
Ecuadornews:
On the morning of this Wednesday, May 2, 2018, Assemblywoman Mae Montaño announced her disaffiliation to the Movement Creating Opportunities (CREO).
This decision, according to the assembly member, is for reasons of wanting to start a new political life and for that she needs to have “more autonomy”.
“I’m not leaving political life, but I want to start a new stage, I want to delve into the social projects I’ve been developing. Increase, increase my presence in the neighborhoods, not only in the city of Quito, but my travels through the country (…) that is my interest and for that I need to have more autonomy “, were the reasons that Montaño gave through the press before showing a document to the media with which she officially made her disaffiliation to CREO.
The national president of CREO, César Monje, through a note published in the official account of the movement on Twitter, said they respect the decision of Montaño, although “we do not share her reasons, we wish her the best in the way she has chosen”. (I)
