On the morning of this Sunday, October 11, through her Twitter account, the Minister of Government, María Paula Romo, reported that the vehicle in which the presidential candidate of the Centro Democrático – Compromiso Social alliance, Andrés Arauz, is mobilized, It belongs to Luis Alberto González, president of the Orion Securities House, before 2015 with the name Ibcorp.

Romo assured that González is a partner of Jorge Chérrez Miño , representative of the IBCORP company, linked to the case of a possible fraud of more than $ 300 million to the Police Social Security Institute (Isspol).
“In case anyone still doubts what we are facing, here is the last piece of the puzzle in the Isspol scam,” said the minister, along with three photographs showing the license plates of the jeep PCE1529 in the name of Luis Alberto González Aguirre and two more in which González appears as Executive Chairman of IBCORP and as a shareholder of this company together with Chérrez, on March 29, 2012, the same day that González also appears as a shareholder together with International Business IBCORP SA, according to the records of the Superintendency of Companies.
EL UNIVERSO newspaper learned of the public deed in which the name IBCORP Casa de Valores SA was changed to ORION , on February 4, 2015, with a capital increase and González Aguirre as majority shareholder.
In this regard, Arauz, who is on a tour of Cayambe – Pichincha, in a public address, said : “Be very clear, Madam Minister, the police are very aware that if they do not recover those $ 350 million, they are not going to stay calm. Do not want to make up any story that this is financing these dialogues with the peoples, nationalities and rural communities of Ecuador. We are traveling the country with our resources ”.

This afternoon, a person who said he was a representative of Orion and who did not give his name contacted this newspaper , said that they will send a clarifying letter to the Ministry of Government and sent a press release rejecting the assertions of Minister Romo, said that the order to which it refers was sold in 2019, ratified that González Aguirre is the majority shareholder of Orion, which in 2015 changed its name, that they do not have any type of relationship with IBCORP, linked to the alleged scam with Isspol.
