Posted On 03 Feb 2011
President of Egypt, Hosni Mubarak, fears chaos would be unleashed if he resigns. The troubled Mubarak said to the ABC network that he was tired of being the president, and that he wanted to leave the power now, but he cannot do that because of the chaos that this could provoke.
The 82-year-old leader added that his government was not responsible for the violence and chaos unleashed on the Tahrir Square of Cairo that allegedly has left 10 casualties. Mubarak talked about the sadness he felt after seeing the infighting among his people; at the same time he blamed the opposition group Muslim Brotherhood for the situation.
