Nacional Brewery Has 3 Days to Repay Debt
Yesterday afternoon, third Criminal Chamber of Guayas resolved the outstanding issues on the verdict in the National Brewery (CN in Spanish) case. Deadline runs funs from today for this company which has to pay $ 90.9 million to more than 1,300 former workers who have had unpaid utilities for more than fifteen years.
Since the failure occurred, the plaintiffs have held several picket lines outside the Palace of Justice of Guayaquil, demanding the execution of the sentence.
According to Arturo Cervantes, attorney of former Nacional Brewery workers, the process follows its course and once executed the verdict, judges and associate judge’s defined aspects of the same brewery that the resolution sought to be more clear and precise.
So far, the Brewery Company has not ruled on the issue, rather the current employees who have been 13 days in a protest adopting the right-resistance warranty, where they expressed that the dispute will continue “until the last consequences.”
