National Assembly will vote tomorrow on La Concordia issue
At 15:00 of tomorrow, the draft project on the adherence of La Concordia Canton to the province of Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, will be voted in the plenary of the National Assembly, and thanks to the vast majority of the ruling party, it will surely become the first law passed in the new 2013 – 2017 period of the Assembly.
The President of the Commission of Autonomous Governments, Richard Calderon (AP), will conduct the voting motion.
On the other hand, the Legislative Board (CAL) aims to continue the analysis of several bills that were pending from the previous cycle, so yesterday they adopted a resolution that established that all rapporteurs of the projects that are being processed, which were re-elected, to continue to fulfill these roles.
One of them, Assembly member Mauro Andino (AP) was ratified to fulfill that role in the Communications Act. Through his Twitter account, Andino said he “humbly” assumes “this challenge again, in order to give the country a communications law that democratizes this right for all.”

Mauro Andino was ratified as rapporteur in the Communications Act draft project.
The CAL also approved a regulation to punish, with more than $ 200, the legislators who miss plenary sessions and commissions without justification. In case of delays, the fine will reach $ 70.
