The National Police stopped on Monday, August 27, 2018, a truck containing approximately 5 tons of calcium chloride, a substance subject to control.
The Chemical Unit of the National Counternarcotics Directorate (DNA), the Mobile Anti-Narcotics Special Group (GEMA) and the personnel of the Urban Service preventive axis managed to seize it thanks to a control carried out on the Tena-Archidona road.
In addition, a vehicle was withheld, with four people inside, which provided security to the truck. The objective of the Police is to stop an organization dedicated to the trafficking of precursors and controlled chemical substances.
The evidence, as well as the driver of the truck and the four occupants of the vehicle, were placed under the orders of the competent authorities so that the due process was followed, in order to investigate the links of the criminal organization. (I)
