Nebot requires more buses for Metroquil
During his radio broadcast of every Wednesday, the mayor of Guayaquil, Jaime Nebot, demanded the consortium Metroquil, in charge of the Trunk 1 of the Metrovía, to incorporate more articulated buses due to the large influx of people during rush hours.
“The people from Metroquil, will have to incorporate more buses during rush hours, and as soon as possible, or several things will happen,” said Nebot and warned that otherwise he’ll apply sanctions and other measures to satisfy the demands of users.
He explained that as the number of passengers increases, operators need to grow with the supply of services. “Or they increase the offer of the service, or I will open a contest and there will be others to contribute with additional buses, but the people have to be served,” he said.
