New Japanese programs will be enjoyed through EcuadorTV, thanks to an agreement subscription

Posted On 02 Mar 2023

Anime, series and tourist-cultural documentaries from Japan will be part of the EcuadorTV programming, starting on April 15, 2023. This, thanks to the signing of a cooperation agreement between COMUNICA EP and the Government of Japan.

Rafael Castillo, general manager, and Hinano Terasaka, political, cultural and press attaché of the Embassy of Japan, delivered-received educational, cultural and anime programs that will be broadcast through EcuadorTV.

The donation of the audiovisual material was made this Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at the facilities of the public company. In this space, Rafael Castillo, general manager, and Hinano Terasaka, political, cultural and press attaché of the Embassy of Japan, delivered-received the contents.

Castillo pointed out that Japan is a fundamental strategic ally that, on this occasion, has delivered educational content for the population. “Thanks to Fundación Japón and the Embassy of Japan we are going to have educational, children’s content for our children and cultural content, which is one of the bases of the company’s structure.”

In this framework, the political, cultural and press attaché pointed out that the goal of this agreement is to arouse the interest of Ecuadorians towards Japanese culture. “We have a long distance between Ecuador and Japan, so the broadcast of the programs is essential to strengthen relations between the two countries.”

Terasaka also commented that these programs show what life is like in Japan: culture, clothing, gastronomy and others.

This is not the only agreement that Comunica EP has signed in terms of programming. During 2023, five cooperation and donation agreements have been signed with companies or embassies. Alejandra Legarda, Head of Programming and Transmission, explained that, thanks to the alliance with the Embassy of Japan, a donation of quality content programming was obtained, in HD, subtitled or dubbed.

“We are going to have Astro Boy Go on our screen. There are more than 100 chapters, two seasons. We also have gastronomy and tourism series from a dynamic and attractive approach… The programs are aimed at the family, especially boys and girls”.

After the delivery, the visitors toured the facilities of El Telégrafo, EcuadorTV and Pública FM.
