Obama stopped smoking because he was “scared” of his wife

Posted On 24 Sep 2013

Screen Shot 2013-09-24 at 13.46.05During a casual conversation with an official of the United Nations, U.S. President Barak Obama, admitted that he quitted smoking six years ago for fear to his wife, First Lady Michelle Obama.

The topic arose  after the official admitted that he would not have been able to quit smoking, to which the president replied that he has “probably” six years without tasting a cigarette and in a funny way added, ” that’s because I’m scared of my wife.”

The president had promised to give up the habit once he got to the White House in February of 2008, that is why he was often seen chewing nicotine gum. However, the medical results of the White House in 2010, showed that the president was consuming cigarettes. The president acknowledged that he smoked occasionally. In 2011 the doctors corroborated that Obama was smoke-free.
