Olivia Culpo participated in a charity dinner in Machala

After participating in Machala’s United Parade, Olivia Culpo, Miss Universe 2012, attended the gala at the Oro Verde Hotel, where the mayor, Carlos Falquez, named her Guest of Honor.

“It was nice to have met these people who received me with great affection, I just got off the plane and I feel like home,” said Culpo.

Carolina Aguirre, Miss Ecuador 2012, hosted the event and presented Culpo to 250 guests. Miss Universe shared a table with the Mayor of Machala and the current Miss Ecuador, Constanza Baez.

The event had intended to raise funds for the Child Protection Center “La casita de mis Sueños”, which welcomes children, victims of physical, sexual and psychological abuse.
