Panasonic to Unveil New Robots

At the upcoming International Home Care & Rehabilitation Exhibition (HCR 2011) scheduled for October 5-7, 2011 in Tokyo, Japan, Panasonic Corp. will reveal the new HOSPI-Rimo robot, Hair-Washing Robot and RoboticBed. These machines were specially designed to support people who need assistance to lead a safe and comfortable lives.

The HOSPI-Rimo is a robot that helps people with limited mobility to communicate with other people. The Hair-Washing does exactly what its name complies; it washes the hair of people who cannot do it themselves due to age or sickness.

Perhaps the most interesting robot is the Robotic bed, it is an electric bed that can transform into an electric wheelchair and vice versa. This will help people who cannot get out of bed and need to move around. (AV)
