Pedro Delgado has seven complaints against
Yesterday Juan Carlos Carmigniani, defense attorney of Pedro Delgado, former president of the Central Bank Board and cousin of the Ecuadorian president, Rafael Correa, requested the Prosecutor to reject the complaint for misrepresentation.
According to Carmigniani, Galo Chiriboga the prosecutor is obliged to close the case because there is no prior civil judgment declaring the false title of economist of Pedro Delgado. Through his Twitter account, the lawyer said that the document was admitted to the Prosecutor at 10:25.
Carmigniani said he would ask the National Court of Justice (CNJ) the revocation for detention requested by prosecutor Chiriboga. So far there are seven open investigations against the president’s cousin, who traveled to Miami (United States), at the end of last year. The former official was scheduled to return on January 6, but now he declared he’s bee politically persecuted and is seeking asylum.
The inquiry number 89-2012, filed on September 20, 2012 by Assemblyman Clever Jimenez against Pedro Delgado, Antonio Bunay, Diana Macancelo, Jacqueline Ordonez and Marcelo Jimenez, is for a crime that is yet to be determined.
The 121-201 record, however, was initiated by the complaint of the legislator of Enrique Herreria for alleged misrepresentation, but lawyers of the former official asked to be rejected and filed.
Jimenez also pushed for the inquiry number 127-2012 for an alleged perjury to the National Finance Corporation (CFN) that would lead to embezzlement. The fourth record, 128-2012, investigates perjury while 129-2012 inquiry seeks to determine the offense that was allegedly committed. The cause 130-2012 investigates also a possible embezzlement.
Finally, the investigation 4-2012 seeks the alleged loans from the Trust AGD-CFN CFN No more impunity, which was denounced by Andres Paez.
