Picasso exhibit works by its 40 years anniversary
This Thursday in Spain will be held an exhibition at the Madrid’s art gallery Leandro Navarro, to remember the 40th anniversary of the death of the painter from Malaga, Pablo Picasso who died on April 8, 1973.
The teacher and critic Francisco Calvo Serraller explained that this sample is formed by 15 original works of Picasso that illustrate the creative moments that the artist gone trough. “The Picasso’s artistic aura continues to defy the passage of time. he has become a myth of the early twentieth forefront,” said Calvo.
The tour begins with works dated between 1904 and 1906. From his early works to his maturity as the painting Tête de’homme III, 1965; Trois hommes debout, 1966, and the drawing Nu Debout et flutiste, 1967.
“No one dared to question his work until the 60s, when he was already a septuagenarian” says Calvo Serraller, teacher and critic, author of the exhibition catalog.
